Is the Constitution really that hard to read?

Today's 'The Nation' had an interesting article about the differences between the constitutions of the USA and the Tea Party.  IMNSHO, if you're going to take an oath to uphold the constitution you should have a working knowledge of it's contents.  Which brings us to the following quote from the article:

It's a hell of a lot easier to read than the majority of the King James version of the bible. Oh - silly me - I can't use that as an example because I bet the majority of the Tea Party folks haven't read that either. And clearly they haven't taken any Sociology classes: If you want to understand a people then you need to understand the documents they live by. Only then can you influence their choices. Stupid Tea Bags!

Having grown up in a church where KJV was THE bible, I understand completely. But the Radical Religious Right doesn't really read the whole bible just a few old testament passages about who should be stoned to death when they get into power. {wry grin}
