Argh I started replying to this and then accidentally closed the window!
Ok, so I was trying to be very conservative in estimating my title placement. The most popular source for estimates of number of teams, etc is on Arena Junkies, which from what I understand attempts to find the rank number of the lowest-rated team in order to figure out how many teams there are, and then adjust that by some factor depending on what proportion of teams seem to be inactive. So their estimates are only estimates and not official. But I was figuring that if by their estimate my team is close to the 5% mark, I should be well within the 10% range. It seems unlikely that their estimates would be off by many thousands, especially since they also base their numbers on figures available in-game regarding team rankings, which numbers already account for the number of inactive teams

otoh 1814 is a quite respectable rating, as far as I've heard. (although I've heard that it's difficult to get over 1500, which may be an exaggeration)
Oh man.. WoW is a bountiful source of juvenile humor. One of my guildmates has a Private somethingorother, and he keeps talking about transferring to a server where Parts isn't taken, just so he can have that name.

It's not as if they don't try. Coincidentally, one of my gamer associates created a race of cat-people called the "kaffir," and I didn't find out that it was an existing word until seven years later.

1550/30,000 = 5%?
You could file a ticket and be like "yo blizz what's up with this."
