Being hurt by love, trying to live up to the expectation and falling flat on your face. We try so hard to figure out what it was we did wrong, like it was somehow our faults and we only end up beating ourselves up as if it would change something. This song shows such an exhaustion, tired of being frustrated, "nothing I do is good enough for you" wanting so badly to have just everything turn out alright but all the while everything is so far away from alright. After all, thats all anyone could want, for things to be ok, to be happy with your self...love...life.
