why do i let myself have high hopes?

anytime i have ever enjoyed a series, and watched it until the very end, i have been disappointed in the finale.

seinfeld, mad about you, west wing, nypd blue (actually, this one wasn't too bad).  tonight was no exception.  after 5 months with netflix, i finally watched the last episode of the sopranos.  what a let-down.  i hate when they leave you

Does it help to know that everyone in the diner had been in the series before, and each of them had a motive to kill Tony? And the lengthy blackout and silence could symbolize someone capping Tony? Or not.

My favorite moment from that episode was Meadow struggling to parallel park. It just rang very David Lynch for me. Here we are in the final moments of a ground-breaking series and everyone has high expectations, and David Chase spends minutes on Meadow parking. Brilliant use of aggravation.

How would you have liked the episode/series to end?

The Sopranos was such a good show. I kinda liked that they left the ending vague for you to read into it whatever you wanted to. Perhaps they all lived happily ever after in peace and harmony?

Right now I'm hooked on the new Doctor Who, I'm up to the Season 2 finale right now. But that's not what I'm recommending. I'll recommend two other shows:

Rome - History and intrigue and great stories! (I love the character Titus Pullo!)

Weeds - Funny and smart and quirky! (I love the whole cast!)

Six Feet Under
Carnivale

i double checked, and i don't have either of these. six feet under is one i've looked at. i'll have to check out weeds.
