"Hey," says Priestly, keeping his voice down too when he finds her because he feels like somehow this is a quiet moment. Maybe a private moment, but he's here now. "Hey, Jen."

Jen isn't even paying attention to whoever might be nearby, and she jumps slightly at the sound of Priestly's voice. "Oh, hey," she replies, a little bit sheepish at being so skittish. She turns slightly so he can see what she's holding. "I, um. I just found this. In the path."

"Are you okay?" he says. "You look a little, you know, out of it. Which is not something I see every day."
