Last night I was watching something on the goddamn tv that showed before and after satellite pictures of Haiti and discovered that newest and most modern building in Port-au_Prince was a Citibank. FUCKING BULLSHIT

i HAVE A TICKET ON HOLD to go down and help and can't find anyone who wants anything other than money.

by the way, when i was in haiti in 1995, the entire city of port of prince had no working stoplights. they HAD stoplights but they did not work. and getting out of the airport was like being attacked by zombies. people would just grab on you and cops would beat them back with billyclubs.

i can only imagine how it is now and it's killing me.

and i'm not even able to help except to fork over some fucking money to whomever, or dump bags of rice off at a church in flatbush.

i did that txt to 90999 and they'll give 10 bucks to red cross and i gave 10 bucks at whole foods when i bought a sandwich yesterday (do you guys know what the money's gonna be used for?)

i just found a place close to my house who will take clothing, dry and canned food, water, toothpaste and toothbrushes. he said to come on tuesday. their director will be back on tuesday and i said i wanna see if they need a project manager to go down there and help them and he took my info and said i can talk to the director on tuesday.

haiti is such a beautiful people.
