Goodbye Grandma

I found out today that my grandma passed away yesterday evening. I knew as soon as I opened my hotmail account and it showed that I got an email from both of my aunts....before I even got to my inbox. They never send me mail. Or at least not if it isn't a reply to an email I sent them. Subject lines gave it away too

Sweetie I'm so sorry to hear about your Grandma... I know that nothing that's said can make you feel any differently or change anything for you, but know that my thoughts are with you... Try not to feel bad about not going to see her... at least this way the last memories you have of her are of a happy woman at Christmas time, not a frail little woman in a hospital bed...

I think that is why I didn't make a huge effort to visit her in the hospital. I am uncomfortable in hospitals and never know what to do or say. I didn't want to see her that way. That is extremely selfish of me, I know. We were not that close but I will miss her greatly. Thanks for your words hun. They put a smile on my face. ~hugs~
