About a week to week and a half ago my brother called my cell and I didn't get to it on time. Couldn't call him back because I don't have long distance. Home line is just local calling. My cell as two area codes that are free, just the Pittsburgh area and suburbs. Well of course he called from his girlfriend's which is out of my calling range. When

I too am sending well wishes for your grandmother, though I'm feeling confident she'll be fine. Do you recall awhile back when I came to you all upset because my mother had a bloodclot and I had read horrid tales of it? Turns out she was strong, took the blood thinners and now shes back to being her usual nitpicking self.

*chuckles*

SO, now it's my turn to return the favour, and you know that I'm always a few clicks away if you need me.

As for your brother, it's nice to see the opportunity to strike that may improve both of your relationships with each other. I do so wish him the best as well, though I feel he doesn't need it. He has a good head on his shoulders, and a supportive sister to help guide him through. He's gonna be fine. Though I do think perhaps a weekend away will do him wonders.

Yes I do remember that. I know that blood clots are not as huge of a deal as they used to be thanks to medicine. But can't help but worry. I know you can empathize with that.

My brother is getting better. And it seems as if holding back from the lectures and the need to nag has really helped our relationship. Over the last few years it has been getting better. I do think a weekend away will help him though our apartment is not the greatest of vacations. ~laughs~ Have to run the idea past John before I bring it up to my brother.

I doubt he will either. Though having five people in a three room, one bedroom apartment with no room as it is....for a full weekend. Might be a bit of a challenge. ~laughs~

I hope all goes well, and next time, call the hospital operator, and ask for the nurses station on your grandma's floor.~nods, as we get these calls a lot~. The RN's are always awake, no matter the hour, and can tell you if your grandma is in stable condition.

Thanks for the information. I didn't even think of doing that. I just tried calling again, got through to the room, but when someone answered it wasn't my grandma. So I am not sure if my aunt gave me the wrong room number? If she was admitted on Monday and it isn't even noon yet today (Wednesday).....I don't think she would have been discharged already, could she?
