Surprise Baby Shower

Mar 05, 2006 21:26

Tonight I was to have dinner with the other moms from our playgroup for a book club meet. Though we only talk about the book briefly. It is more to get out of the house and have a moms' night out more than anything. I had picked February's book, Salem's Lot by Stephen King. I will write my review later. Only myself and one other lady read it. A ( Read more... )

You should make an online wishlist somewhere (like amazon or some other place with baby stuff) so your online friends can shop for you. It would be really fun!

I never thought of anything like that. I don't want to seem as if I am asking for something. Though as John stated yesterday when I had said that they had went overboard with the stuff...he said, "must be a chick thing." ~lmao~ I said it was. What woman do you know that doesn't love buying baby stuff? It is all too cute. ~giggles~

I know two women who are currently pregnant. One is just a local online friend, who I never even meant, she is having boy/girl twins, due the beginning of June. The other woman I barely know. Her son was in school with Kailee and we stay in touch through email. She is due in August. I am sercetly hoping to get invited to the baby showers, if they have one, since they both have older children. Cause I love buying baby gifts. Sad huh? ~laughs~

What I thought about too... is... I could give you a call... and find out all the stuff you need. And then I'll set it all up for you. ~nods~ I think it would be fun. And I'm not doing anything else for awhile so it would help me too.
I think some might even have a thing for the more expensive items.. that two or more people can go in together on a gift.
Let me know what you think - I'd really like to help out somehow.

If you are willing to set up something like that, it is up to you and if you have the time. I would really appreciate it. I have done my hours of surfing sites to compare prices and to research the varies versions of things. Walmart seems to have the best prices on basically everything. Do you have my number? Let me know.

Salem's Lot is a very good book. Long but good. ~Innocent grin~ I'm glad you had a good time at your baby shower. Too bad you don't live closer to me so I could give you some baby items that I can't take with me to Australia.

I liked the book though the ending was too open for me. I am used to long books so that didn't bother me.

Well I really don't need much. There are two bigger things that I want/need. But other than that I just need a few little things. But for the bigger items I may look into hand-me-downs or secondary shops. I am now 31 weeks but I feel like I should have everything ready and all the stuff I need by now. I guess I am just impaitent....or maybe nesting? ~lmao~

Sounds like you had a blast, hun. Really wish I was around more so we could get back to the good old days. I've already got my baby gift for you all set. Been sitting in that poor bag for a good month and a half now... Thankfully, it's not alive. Now all I need is the magic train to pick me up. What better way to deliver then in person?? *bats eyelashes* Money and life has been tight and bothersome lately, so I haven't the chance to take a ride to the post office, but I've still got a little while. I miss you hun. Hope everything continues to go well for you. *sends love*

Good thing it isn't alive. ~laughs~ But seriously, I miss you too. I really have to make an effort to find you so we can catch up.

As for the gift that is so sweet of you. I really wish you could deliver it in person. I would much rather take that as a gift than anything that could be bought! Do you need my address? We moved in November and I can't remember who I gave the new addy to.

I havent received the new address since your move, hun. Unfortunately, all I have is the old one... Will be needing it after all. As for the delivery in person, let's just see if that can be arranged. Im sure Ive racked up my airmiles to help out. *winks*

If you really want to come for a visit....beware! Between the 5-year-old and our puppy, it is a loud house. And if you wanted to come after the birth to meet the baby....well you would really be in for it. ~lmao~

I sent you an email with my address. Let me know you got it. Not sure if you changed your email since last time that I sent one or not.
