Sorry for the silence, things are simultaneously busy, non-eventful and earth shattering. Today, like Friday, is a monkey day. Somewhere there is a mini chimp in the works messing everything up.
I should have woken up to a beautiful loaf of fresh bread, but I forgot to put the blade in the breadmaker, so it cooked a pile of flour. Scrummy.

As a teenager, spottily impressionable, I was lucky to attend a lecture and reading by U.A. Fanthorpe. The complexity of her poetry and its many levels (I feel an urge to pretentiously describe it as mille feuille, but I fear I can't spell it), and the clear love between herself and her partner utterly undid me. Vegan porridge, with dark chocolate melted through it, blueberries stirred in (sorry moomintroll, they were in the fridge and irresistible) and cacao nibs on top. Yummy, but more of a desert than an early Monday morning breakfast. Bleeuurgh, I feel sick!
