Let's Play Mystery Legends: The Phantom of the Opera, Bonus Level

So I was going through the bonus level, and was about halfway through when I realized my screencapture program had turned off when I rebooted the computer. Gaaah! Luckily the bonus level is short and separate from the actual game, so it only required a second quick run-through to set everything to rights. And here it is!

Erik sure is a messy boy!

But I have to say, I rather love the general atmosphere and graphic design of this, even though it doesn't remotely resemble Leroux. TY for all the great screencaps.

The idea that Erik’s soul has been broken and/or separated from him somehow would do a lot towards explaining why he seems to have regressed to his angry, vengeful state.

Horcruxes will do that to a man.

(Also, "GIVE ME BACK MY FACE!!!")

Thank you so much for posting these!

It might be odd to say this, but I think this game is the best commercially released thing to happen to Phantom fandom in a while. It's so pretty.

For the jacked ending, this is one of the few times I would have been content for a wavy-lined "It was all just a dreeeeaaaaaammmmm..." conclusion. Maybe I'm (we're?) expecting a little too much from a puzzle game, but still, there's enough effort put into everything else.

I tried a few other Big Fish games and they gave me non-endings, too. Very disappointing. But I really enjoyed this game and I loved your Let's Play.

Which games were those? I'd like to do more of their HOGs and I'm looking for recommendations for ones to try/avoid.

The new Hound of the Baskervilles one was GREAT, and actually totally worth getting the collector's edition for the bonus level.

The game itself, and the bonus level too, were much longer, with more variety to the puzzles -- which were also more difficult, too. But still plenty of HOGs to play.

Very worth getting it. Although, I should warn that the story has very little to do with the Holmes one. But it's so fun to play!

Haunted Hills Sanitarium? Nah. Skip. Sleepy Hollow? DEFINITELY skip.

Um, I should clarify: the story does HAVE Holmes and Watson, and Henry Baskerville. But it's definitely not the canon version!!

Thank you for making this "Let's play" it was very entertaing with your witty comments and writhing.

"-- be strong, but be gentle with his frail heart"
The romantic fangirl in me like that sentrence. It might interpret that Evelina have to make him comfortable with her around for a while. Warming up his heart. <3 *chuckle*

Nice observation on his soul and memories, that might lead to another game, with more varied game puzzles. I want to see another new part/side of this story.

I wonder how he will react if/when he realize he have captured the wrong girl. :-D
