LCD Listens to LND (so you don't have to), Act 1 Tracks 13-15

I'll say this for the remainder of the first act: it's perhaps the most I've laughed at a musical since Avenue Q.

Christine not only kissed his unmasked face, she slept with him, for Christ’s sake-multiple times, if the lyrics are to be believed. He has all the proof of love and acceptance he could ever possibly want, and he’s running out on it--he only has himself to blame for the fact that he's spent the last ten years sulking and making out with his My Size Christine doll.Yeah. The Phantom lets Christine go in POTO because he loves her and doesn't want her to force him to stay with him because he believes she doesn't want him completely. So he finds out she does - and he can't think she's sleeping with him out of pity because she goes and finds him somehow (and where were Meg and Giry, and when was this, considering they were in such a rush to smuggle him out) - and he leaves her? The Phantom can be selfless, but not that selfless. Why would he turn his back on what he, and apparently what Chrstine wanted, all along ( ... )

I've been thinking of him as "Mister Ohgodwhy," myself. XD

Yeah. Dude, WTF?

Are we sure this whole thing isn't a giant hoax after all? Didn't he make his announcement that the rumours were true and he was making the sequel (and basing it on POM) after all on April 1st a couple years ago?

Just saying... It would explain a lot...

THIS. It's one of the most nonsensical things in this whole nonsensical musical. The Phantom has a shipload of abandonment issues, and we're supposed to believe he's going to leave his obsession/true love after a night of passion? He'd be more likely to duct tape her to the bed.

Does he really refer to the kid as little vicomte? If so that's hysterical.
