ALW: Who let you in here? Get out of my sight! The rest of you, start working on staging this! I want a big special-effects extravaganza! I want Art Nouveau ladies, I want singing chandeliers, and maybe some sort of steampunk-skeleton-monkey-organist thing.
It looks even worse when the kid is wearing a sailor outfit and crawling around on the floor, yikes!
Seriously, what is WITH that song? I actually like it, but I can't believe those are the freaking lyrics. And what's weirder none of the critics seemed to note it either.
The "nothing but woe" song was just full of what-the-fuckery. And the Phantom . . . dude you sprung your hideously deformed face on the kid, sorry he doesn't magically know he shouldn't freak out. He comes across as such an emo whiner. At least in POTO he lives in a basement and people freak out at him. In LND he's rich and has servants and fame and Meg wants to sleep with him apparently and he's sulking cause some kid got scared?
Yikes, sorry, I have more issues with this musical than I thought!
Haha, no worries, man; it makes me want to rant for hours on end myself. Hell, after I watched that giant monkey thing yesterday I went to bed and dreamed I was ranting at someone about it! XD

POTO isn't even a favorite of mine, but man, I didn't think ALW missed the point of his own musical this much (or maybe he just didn't care?)
