two steps forward, one step back...

Yesterday was by far the worst day since my surgery. Nothing stayed down, even the anti nausea meds. There is a strange sensation in my "pouch" area (where they cut my stomach) that feels like a gas bubble/heart burn/pain. I am still trying to figure out what it is so I can remedy it quickly instead of by trial and error. Today I am OK but just ( Read more... )

I'd make you a good deal on the Tacoma but we traded it in on a new Rav4. How about a Tundra 4dr 4X4? ;)

I wish I could have managed to get your Tacoma, but funds are still limited. The one he found was similar to yours just older. I think it was a 99. We are looking at a couple of 91's for around 4000 each now more in his budget right now. How are you liking the Rav4? I remember it is very pretty. I love my Honda it sure is a whole lot more fun to drive than the Mom mobile. Let me know when you are going to start your garden and I'll come over and help ok?

Chrys likes the Rav4 just fine. It's the Limited Edition one and has all the bells and whistles.
I never turn down help for the garden!!! It's still too muddy to work out there tho. :)

I'm glad things are going (pretty) well for you post-surgery. I do hope you get some answers from the support group.

And tell Daniel to watch where he's going next time! :-p

Thanks, all in all things are going well. I just want to know how to deal with this one irritant. Since throwing up is not a favorite past time for me I don't want to do it!

I really hope that the bad effects you felt yesterday won't reappear and are passing. Did they not give you a list or advise you about possible unpleasant side effects from the operation? But it's great to hear that your blood sugar and bp are staying within normal! That's great!

I'm getting my garden into shape these days, too. We have 2 lemon trees and several orange trees that are about to burst into bloom.

They warned us of some things that could happen but each person's reactions to things are different. This is nothing new I am sure I just need to figure out what my body is telling me so I can remedy the situation.
I love lemon trees! They smell so good when they bloom. At my old house the neighbor had a huge orange tree and the smell of the blooms always came straight in my front windows, I loved it! She had to come over to my entry way to smell her tree. :)

I think my computer is doing weird things... I left a comment here yesterday - but it isn't here today... Of course there is a remote chance that I didn't push "enter" at the end..... *rolls eyes at own goofiness*

I hope you are feeling even better today. I know that it takes a while for your system to adjust to the "remodeling" that has gone on, but it you are still feeling things that you were not told about - it might be worth a call to the dr.

I am excited for you! I have 2 other friends who have had this done and they have both been SO happy - once they got past the healing and adjusting part.

I am sure getting out and digging in the dirt will be a great healing tool for you! Raising butterflies sounds like fun! I wonder if we could raise them here.

Thank God that Daniel wasn't hurt! It is a shame that they dumped the blame all on him however! I hope he can find some safe if not totally spiffy wheels he can afford.

I know about the disappearing lj comments I think it is a pixie trick, something the socks in the dryer! ;) Daniel got a 93 Nissan PU that seems to be in good running order. I am going to play in the dirt tomorrow :)... it will be fun! All in all I am happy with my decision for the surgery. I will adjust to the ins and outs and get back my life!

Wow! I haven't really looked at LJ all that much lately. I really hope that you feel better soon.

How could anyone destroy a butterfly garden? What I wouldn't give. What plants did you use for that?

Thank you! I have no idea why they destroyed it but it made me sad. I had a butterfly bush, a lilac bush, several colors of daylillies, lavendar, violets, iris and lantana growing. They all attract hummingbirds and butterflies. It was in full bloom when they bought the house. Oh well, I'll plant another garden here :)
