anyone know what this is??????

This plant came up in my back patio area by itself and just bloomed the weirdest flower I have ever seen. It is about 3 and a half feet tall and the bloom thing has a "horn" sticking out of it that is about 15 inches long. It smelled like rotten meat when it opened but doesn't smell at all now. We are thinking it might be some sort of carnivorous

Thank God! When I first saw it I thought holy cow you have a corpse flower in the yard. They are rare, huge and majorly stinky. They are so unusual that every time they bloom it is a special event that makes the news.

I was afraid it was something like that, too! The stink didn't last very long though. Very strange plant...

We were waiting to see if it started talking and saying "feed me" but alas it didn't. Just a very weird plant...
