2012 Fandom Year in Review
Your main fandom of the year?
Of the year? Probably The Avengers. I wrote a seriously embarrassing lot of Steve/Darcy fic, as well as Tony/Pepper.
Your favorite film you watched this year?
The Avengers. Hands down. I was anticipating liking The Hobbit more than I did.
Your favorite book read this year?
The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. Surely not an original choice. But it is one of those perspective-changing books. It sort of takes your world and tilts it... just so.
Your favorite album or song to listen to this year?
Barton Hollow by The Civil Wars. The album, not the song. Just... what a masterpiece.
Your favorite tv show of the year?
...Supernatural. I know. I know. I came to the game late. And the fandom is... well, the poster child for insanity. But I like it, all right? How can you NOT like Jensen Ackles? Mmmmmm.
Your best new fandom discovery of the year?
Steve/Darcy? I mean. I didn't even know it was a THING. But it WAS. And it was a GLORIOUS thing.
Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year?
Bones. I can't even watch it anymore.
Your fandom boyfriend of the year?
Chris Evans split time with Jensen Ackles this year. It takes two boys to keep me happy.
Your fandom girlfriend of the year?
Kat Dennings. Girlfriend is hot.
Your biggest squee moment of the year?
Seeing all of the Avengers together. I was literally flailing my hands.
The most missed of your old fandoms?
I miss the camaraderie of the Bones fandom from its glory days for me.
The fandom you haven't tried yet, but want to?
Here's the thing about fandom and me. If I get curious about something, enough that I want to check out its fandom? Then I do. I jump in with both feet. So... nothing I haven't tried yet that I want to.
Your biggest fan anticipations for the coming year?
1) NEW IRON MAN.
2) NEW STAR TREK
3) Supernatural OMG
