Movie soundtrack for your life. The rules:
1. Put your music player of choice on shuffle. (iTunes, duh)
2. Scene one = first song played, scene two = second, so on.
3. No cheating/skipping.
4. Pass it on.
opening credits: "Lost at Sea" - Eisley. Perfect for this scene. Oh, how I love their breathiness. And good for an opening credits, since in the beginning of the movie I haven't yet "found myself" yet.
Still floating soft, I am dreaming and I'm glad I lost..."
waking up: "60 Cycle Hummer" - Ben Wa. This is from a CD I got from American Eagle a few years ago for spending over $50, or something like that. But this song is not really a song, just techno-ish instrumentals. Actually good for this scene, too.
and ordinary day: "Dream" - Roy Orbison. I'm really embarrassed that this is my "ordinary day" song, since it's so pathetic. Too bad it fits me perfectly, since I spend the majority of my days in a bored stupor.
Just watch the smoke rings rise in the air, You'll find your share of memories there...
the first date: "The Setting Sun" - Switchfoot. If this is the song for a first date, then I this first date didn't go so well. More singleness for me!
I've not sure which of me is real, And I'm alone again...
falling in love: "Breathless" - The Corrs. Oh, I am embarrassed by this one too, but how perfect. I still adore this song.
Make me long for your kiss, go on, go on...
the rumble: "Gut Feeling" - Devo. I think I just got beaten up at the rumble.
I looked for sniffy linings, but you're rotten to the core...
the break-up: "Plain Jane" - Jason Mraz. Yep, this one worked out.
so simple hearted, and not so remarkable...
getting back together: "Nobody's Fool" - Avril Lavigne. I guess we didn't really get back together.
And with that dime I bought your love, But now I've changed my mind..."
life's okay: "Out On My Own" - Keith Urban. I think this thing is saying I'm destined to be single.
I'm an old reluctant gypsy, I don't like campin' anymore...
the mental breakdown: "Clair de Lune" - Debussy. I guess it could be a dramatic breakdown, or simply one where I just sob and sob and want to jump off a bridge? This makes no sense.
cruising: "I Want It That Way" - Backstreet Boys. Um...err. I guess I could cruise to this.
But we are two worlds apart, can't reach to your heart...
the flashback: "Wherever, Whenever" - Shakira. Yep. Flashback, all right. Flashback to sophomore year.
Never could imagine there were ten different ways to love somebody...
the frat party: "Yeah/Toxic Mash-Up" - Usher and Britney. Ok, this could definitely work.
So got up and followed her to the flo', and she said baby let's go...
everybody dance now: "Err Time" - Nelly. Now this is perfect! My dance life is much better than relationships.
See err to the beat go whoa whoa whoa whoa...
regretting: "Complicated" - Avril Lavigne. Shuffle likes her today. But this could be regretful. That stupid boy that must have been giving me problems earlier in the movie...
I like you the way you are, when we're driving in your car...
the long night alone: "The Remedy" - Jason Mraz. Well, I'd say it could be a long night alone, but at least it's optimistic.
I say the tragedy is how you're gonna spend the rest of your nights with the light on...
a death: "Careless Whisper" - Ben Folds & Rufus Wainwright. Wait! This isn't fair! So the death of my love is my fault? Why am I feeling guilty! I hate this movie.
As the music dies, something in your eyes, calls to mind the silver screen and all its sad goodbyes...
end credits: "Blackening Out the Friction" - Death Cab for Cutie.
The hardest part is yet to come, When you will cross the country alone.
Nevermind.
That was a stupid movie.
