my Neopets anniversary

I realize it's not exciting for most people, well really anyone except me, but I felt that I should mark the occassion with a post.

I've been playing Neopets now for 6 years!  And almost continuously that entire time.  I think the longest lapse in play was probably a month, which isn't too bad.  Geez, the amount of time I've wasted on Neopets!  But

Wow! Six years is a long time! My daughter did Neopets for a while but I don't like her being on the internet too much and that one has links to other sites so it's not the best for her age. It's cute though and she loves it. Hers is a T-Rex.

She plays Webkins more. With that you buy the toy and get the code and you can buy all kinds of thing for your pet that you earn when you play games. It's a very safe site too because it's not linked to anything else. She has 5 Webkinz now.

When I started playing Neopets it was a lot simpler, and they didn't have all of the advertisements and external links that they do now. I guess once the site got really popular it was hard to keep it free so they got the ads. I actually have a Premium account now which I pay for and that removes the ads (there are a few other bonuses but the no-ads is the main thing.)

I remember you showing me those Webkinz before and they're really cute. ^_^ And she has 5 now? Wow. I think the last time we talked about them she only had one or two.

Well, she couldn't get into the site recently (I think she was typing it in wrong). So she remembered she had Christmas money and used it to buy one Webkinz and two Lil' Kinz. She's very excited. It was only about a week ago. She now has the Cocker Spaniel that she got from her friend Momiji-kun and she also has the black and white cat, the tree frog and lil'kinz of the unicorn and the poodle.
