It is complete, I hopefully will not tinker too much more, I believe I am satisfied heh.

Dearest nathan_fhtagn I think you should take a glancy the most under the cut:P
Others I encourage too, I'm very proud of this piece, and it's the first finished real piece for 2007 for me.

This is really cool! I love it!

This one of those images where the artistic interpretation is far cooler than the model upon which it is based. That coat leaves me breathless. And the violin! Aaaaaaaaah! I so want a violin with gears on. I'm drooling just thinking about it. And the goggles! And the hair! That's it. I so need a make-over...

Wow.

Just wow.

YAy me so glad you likey (I actually was slightly mentally holding my breathe as it were that you would not like it or feel it had no semblance, silly artist anxiety I know)
But when I do more personal pieces I tend to get those silly thoughts of miss-representation and the such.

Twas a fun (and at times struggling) challenge, but a good challenge since, A. I have very lil experience illustrating guys, two that violin and the hands were my biggest struggle (me hate hands) and making sure I had proper perspective and proportions.
But I'm pretty happy with the outcome, though as like any day after and re-looking I'm having slight impulses to tweak and fuss over some things. I'll refrain of course:P

As for getting a violin with gear decals, I got the idea from something I saw in a post on anachrotech of a fellow who had done such to his guitar ( ... )

I remember you posting about how much of a bitch it was getting the hands right. For what it's worth, one of the things that really stood out to me in this picture was how well you managed the hands. So many artists really choke when it comes to getting the hands of musicians just right. Either they get the proportions wrong or they don't think to look at what the 'proper technique' looks like when a musician is playing. You nailed it. Very nicely done ( ... )
