more cheese
more of my passion for cheese. which is funny, because when i was first put in the cheese shop, i didn't want to be there. but i am mostly autonomous, i get to be creative, and i can sell people cheese i've never even tasted before. i've increased sales and cut down on shrink. so its a good gig.
funny how things change
the following flights were obviously made for Christmas. (gee, i wonder what gave that away?) these cute little trays came out of the GM department and served as the backdrop for my flights at Christmas (though these were made before Thanksgiving. no turkey trays so Christmas had to do)
Full of Flavor and LIfe is Gouda. and ah-ha! the other chese on the Life is Gouda flight was Jeffs' Select! (its the one on the right with the orangy rind on it
decorated with festive bows made by my friend in the floral department, Wendy, and then put in the case
another Better with Age flight
these pics contain the fruit topped brie, which we no longer do. i believe it has to do with ingredients labeling issues. but its basically a small cake of brie topped with a fruit mix we make in house (the fruit is in a container to keep the brie dry until its time to eat). the fruit mix here is the Kroger cranberry celebration and coconut. given that these were... $14.99 a pound? and they averaged over a pound? they didn't sell much. mostly when they were marked down. and even then, not so much...
you can see a cheese cube tray there. plus i did some dip trays, but those aren't as fantastic.
