Hello All!!
I is back after my long week in the south!
and what a week it was!! a week of many firsts for me :)
But it wasn't all fun and games (though there was alot of that) I was very tiring and all the travel left me feeling lightheaded and crazy tired
Saturday
there was the 16 hour train ride from Philly to Atlanta. The Philly train station is huge!!
There were even birds flying up and around the windows.
I arrived in Atlanta at 8 in the morning the next day, which isn't personally crazy cause most work days I'm up before 7. Still a midnight train to Georgia isn't the most fun thing in the world. Especially when you don't have window seat
:(
But none the less I was finally furthest south then I had ever been!
I and my fabulous host spent that same sunday exploring the mall of Georgia, and letting me get used to the heat which was basically in the 100s O.o
The next day, we got up early and headed to the airport to catch our flight to Orlando and ultimately DisneyWorld.
Our plane!!
rather interesting story, they changed it to a small plane to a very big one for some reason. Made us change gates and wait FOREVER at the terminal. It was my first flight ever, I was nervous but more excited so it wasn't a big problem for me. Left me feeling a little light headed though, it was better then the train...of course it was only an hour to Orlando LOL
Once we landed in Orlando, it was an annoyance to grab our checked bags and find the bus stop for Disney. But once on the bus I was ecstatic. Seeing the Disneyworld high way arch sign was amazing, I almost got emotional. And then pulling up at the Pop Century Resort (which is where we stayed) was double awesome
From exploreing Disneyworld via Google Earth and just pictures I wondering which building we would stay at in the resort. It just so happens we got the one that had Roger Rabbit!
Look!! its Diiiip!! LOL
Our room was actually in the building to the left of him with that awesome huge laptop, and of course there was the laptop pool with the key bored. Someone knew me and my companion a little to much (shakes fist at unmarked white van which steals our ideas and thoughts)
That very same Monday (since we got to Orlando damn early) we decide to vist Down Town Disney. Somewhere I wanted to go just as much as the Magic Kingdom. It was fun :)
Planet Hollywood
Ballerina shrubbery from Edward Scissorhands
Hot air balloon!! had to get a picture of it
DownTown Disney is cool! loved the Disney store and of course the popular DisneyQuest where me and my friend rocked out the POTC game like pros
the next day, Tuesday, after being jumped on as a form of a wake up call ( -_- )we hopped a bus to the Magic Kingdom. I might have looked calm but inside I was screaming with joy.
Castle!!!!!!!!!!!!! the closer I got the more awed I become! I'm surprised I didn't fall to my knees and cry in happiness
Mad Tea Party Shrubbery, we did eventually go on it Ehhhh!! I was SO happy!! Alice and White Rabbit we're even out and stuff but no I didn't get any meet and greets under my belt. Thats for next time, I mean if Hatter had been there I might have ran to the front and clung to him like a maniac. But I suppose its good that didn't happen >.>
I love this picture because 1 I'm glad I got the Liberty Bell in a shot before it vanished behind the trees, and 2 because of the awesome shot of Splash Mountain in the back. Which btw was ALOT of fun, as was thunder mountain. the the whole time I felt like I was in one of those Disney Commercials, felt it on the Tea cups too lol
We then preceded to ride POTC twice and see the popular Jack Sparrow pirate show which was such a joy to watch, funny and made me feel like I really was 6 so I'd say Disneyworld is doing they'er job.
Look Angie!...
its blurry sorry
Will post more later
