Soooo I was pondering Aravis' weird-ass relationship with
twinslaughter, started to write it out as a note to self kind of thing, and somehow I ended up including her relationships with other people. SO. I decided to keep track of them on their respective journals and do it for all my characters! :D This might be updated regularly if I'm not lazy. 8')
Belphegor: WARNING WARNING RAMBLING. So this one's pretty damn complicated, and the weirdest and most intriguing any of my characters have in Estrasia (that's not... canon). Aravis cannot stand Bel, but sekritly if she ever stopped talking to him completely, she'd kind of miss - well, not exactly him, but actually interacting with someone. He's the first person she's really ever had some sort of relationship with, no matter how fucked up/annoying/ambiguous it is, and she admittedly missed human contact ever since she left Calormen. HOWEVER, if they did stop talking, she would not resume interaction until he initiated it. She has... no idea why she's kind of attached to him. It's really messed up sldkfjadfasdf ;asdkfjdfkl;fds. The fact that he's of royal blood(?!) kind of plays a big part in it, since she'd be a lot more loath to speak to him if he were a commoner. She still has a lot of that "I'm of noble blood so you're all lesser than me" mentality. Contrary to what she says, she does mostly believe he's a prince, since he's bratty enough to be one. :X BUT Aravis is a smart girl and doesn't trust him completely. She's aware that he just uses her as entertainment, but it's... nearly the same for her? He gives her something to do/worry about and Aravis likes to keep busy. She wouldn't completely trust him unless he, like, saved her life or something. There is actually a chance she'd get used to him and consider him a comrade and friend. >: It really depends on circumstances and how things go from here. (She doesn't feel guilty about slapping him since he pretty much acts the same as he used to. Prince or no, ain't nobody touchin' this Tarkheena unless she has a say in it. >:I)
SOCIAL LINK GO! HAHAHAHA OH MY GOD!! SO. Belphegor. I dropped Aravis and picked her back up a few months later kill me, but she did have some adventuretimes during her little... "vacation." Basically, she traveled with him for a weekish. Sometime during their travels, she had the awkwardest family reunion ever! (Seriously, the Sohmas got nothing on her.) They ran into her father, and she tried to convince him that her powers faded soon after she'd left Calormen and that she had never been at Estrasia; that her enrolling at the academy was nothing more than an extravagant rumor. Of course, Kidrash Tarkaan was more concerned about her already-at-high-risk marriage proposition, and demanded she return with him. Of course, accompanying Kidrash was a small unit of bodyguards, horsemen, and mercenaries for his own protection. And thus, a battle ensued! To Aravis' genuine surprise, Belphegor retaliated, fighting back to ensure she wouldn't fall back into her father's hands. Seeing him actually fight was unnerving, especially since she herself had never even fought with the intention to kill, but she steeled herself and focused on her freedom instead of that cray cray dude she'd been traveling with. Once they'd escaped the fray, Aravis actually began to worry about her knight in not-so-shining-armor. She told herself that it was because she didn't want to owe her life and liberty to him (though she kind of actually definitely does...). In a part of her that's hardly conscious, as she refuses to acknowledge, much less admit this, she doesn't want him involved if it might compromise his safety. Yeah, obvsly she doesn't know about his day job. So she left him, hoped her father bought her lie, and officially returned to Estrasia.
It's pretty obvious at this point that a few things have changed. Aravis is a little afraid of Belphegor. Now that she has witnessed firsthand his skills as an assassin, she understands a little more what he is capable of, and that maybe she doesn't know or understand him as much as she thought she did. Still, she will certainly never show him her uncertainty or fear, because her intrigue and pride far override them. That, and she subconsciously already trusts him more than anyone else at Estrasia - but that's already kind of a given, since he was the only person she notified of her disappearance in the first place. Then there's the odd feeling of being drawn to him, one she acknowledges but chalks up to mere boredom. UST? WHO KNOWS ANYMORE??? TL;DR Aravis will act the same towards him, but her views and opinions of him have changed.
man i am tired i will edit this tomorrow and add akito's section hoo boy
Ivy: Super sweet little girl! My headcanon says that Aravis has a soft spot for kids. I mean, she grew up to be queen in canon and mothered the most famous king of Archenland so uh. There's. That. :|a (Though I imagine she'd be more of a daddy and Cor would be the mommy LMFAO) BUT I DIGRESS. Ivy is sweet and polite and that is SO RARE in Estrasia, so Aravis is already rather fond of her. She seemed genuinely concerned about her during the "lol I slapped Bel but don't worry about it k" thing. It's likely that Aravis will stop viewing her as "that nice little girl" but as an equal and friend, worthy of her respect, because really, Ivy's pretty awesome. Closest thing Aravis has to a friend right now. Dropped. 8'( baaawww only person Ara was nice to.
Amber: Friend of Belphegor? Not a noble, as far as she can tell, so Aravis doesn't care about her one way or the other. Amber's annoying and girly and boring, which makes her more inclined to ignore her. She doesn't exactly dislike her per se, but she wouldn't go out of her way to interact with her. The "my daddy died and I'm sorry" thing did affect Aravis, but not much, since she never really got any love from her daddy herself lolol. She doesn't understand father-daughter bonds. She's going to be very mindful of it, though, and try not to be mean to her, because she truly does pity her. That's kind of a Big Deal, since the old Aravis wouldn't have given a shit. 8')DROPPED - HAD FUN ADVENTURE TIMES WITH HER POST-ESTRASIA!!
Mammon: Another friend of Belphegor. Minus points in her book, to be honest. However, she doesn't really care about Mammon too much one way or the other; she's a little weirded out that anyone would be protective of him, but aside from that, she'd really... rather not interact with Mammon at all lolol. If she had to, though, there's the potential she could grow to like Mammon in her own tsundere way. DROPPED, which is sad because Aravis came back to Estrasia and planned on visiting her ;;
Mr. H: Doesn't care about one way or the other. Weird staff member. DROPPED
I need to get Aravis out more.
If I forgot any characters, feel free to bash me over the head and remind me. \o/;;
