I think its time that we really started pulling together and think about other people for a change. Our government is clearly not doing this, in fact, in this LJers opinion, it is becoming evident that our government is working against this. Its the holiday season and we have so many that are being turned out due to our plummeting economy. People ( Read more... )

Every day this month I restrain myself from punching my douchy, piece of shit mother-in-law in the mouth over her filthy lies, abuse, and manipulation is me doing something for someone else. So I've got at least 15 good deeds done so far this month. (Well - 14 really. Because today is not over yet and YOU NEVER KNOW how it's going to end.)

I keep telling myself that it will be better once his father has finally passed away but, really, I'm kidding myself on that one. Which means at some point I'm going to have The Conversation with the hubby that things need to change Or Else. Not looking forward to any of it. :(

That reminds me---I *will* do my Xmas night tradition this year...just have to find a 24-hour place this year (felt awful about missing last year)

Every Xmas evening, I go to a 24-hour place, and leave $100 bill as a tip (some years X-eve), and try to sneak out before they notice. Working Xmas sucks

My wife and I after watching a presentation on Advent giving to others, decided no gifts for each other, we gave all the money to local charities instead.
