I did not vote for Obama. He seemed a little too slick for me.

My prediction - he will not be re-elected in 2012.

Thank you for your honesty!!

I also did not vote for Obama. I didn't/don't trust him. He seemingly came from nowhere and had all of these followers, it scared me. Ignorant maybe? Sure... I admit it. It wasn't all gut, I have a strong aversion to most of his policies. Also, I am a gun toting kinda girl who believes in abortion, unfortunately that means I have to choose the lesser of evils...

I voted for him. Gladly too. I honestly did like McCain, voted for him in the primaries in RI in 2000 and if you told me in 2007 that those were who the two candidates were going to be for 2008, I would have thought that I would end up voting for McCain. But things changed drastically for me in regards to him in 2008 and I grew to like Obama more and more at the same time. (Now if Hilary had been the candidate......I don't know. I've always *strongly* disliked her ( ... )

Wow! this is VERY well written! Thank you for your honesty and I agree with this:
"I think the whole damn thing should be abolished, keep just the House, and send every one of those lazy motherfucking Senators home on permanent retirement."
Love it! Thanks!!

He's a great public speaker. And...that is about it. ::shrug::

I voted for him. I am somewhat middle-of-the-road, but I find myself becoming more and more liberal, the longer I live in Canada, and one of the big reasons I won't move back to the US, even when given the chance, is healthcare. I was undecided until the choice of Palin, and I think she's a flaming idiot, and it really, really worried me. I love Joe Biden, though, and in this instance, the VP choice wound up being very important.

I have been too busy and too removed from the US news in the past year, though. I have very little idea what specifically Obama has done, hasn't done, and I'm not living in a flailing economy right now, so I don't *feel* it like everyone else does. I don't know what I'll do for 2012, and it will probably be based on a 3 year picture, rather than 1 year, because it will take me that long to catch up with things.
