That Fandom Osmosis panel was a BRILLIANT idea--I'm so glad you had fun with it! (Would you consider re-posting the questions to LJ? I'd love to know what you came up with.) And I'm glad you enjoyed MJ in general! Cons are one of the greatest things in life, IMO, and I'm sorry I couldn't make this one because I would have loved to have met you.
As in, you're at a con being SUPER social, then it ends and you're suddenly ALONE
YES. And honestly, I have also specifically planned so that it's not so much a drop as a tapering-off, and it STILL sucks, because it's like ripping of the band-aid (plaster?) slooooooooowly and then it STILL ends sadly. SADNESS. Completely, one thousand percent worth it! But SADNESS.
I feel like I DID get to see everyone I didn't necessarily get to really spend time with everyone I wanted toThis is indeed a very common thing. Cons are an amazing/frustrating combination of "OMG, so many people I love all in one place!" and "SHIT, so many people I love ALL IN ONE PLACE FOR A LIMITED TIME ONLY." I'm an extrovert

For some reason I read the first line in your comment and thought you were AT the panel and I was like WAIT SHE WAS THERE AND I DIDN'T GET TO HUG HER, NOOOOOO. But then I kept reading! And like, not that I'm GLAD you weren't there, I'm just glad I didn't MISS YOU.
And yeah I'm sure we'll be totally cool to post the Osmosis questions! They are totally not hard, I think we err'd on the side of easy, but the whole point was to make people realise how much they KNOW, not how much they DON'T know about other fandoms, right?
This was my first con experience, and I guess because of the MCR stuff I am not sure how I can rate it as a pure con experience because... well how often does the core of your fandom disband during a con? Not that often, I'd hazard a guess. But it was good to have klb to talk to about the whole con-drop thing and her being there to say "this is a thing that happens" was actually super helpful.
It can help to plan specific hangout time with people in advance, but even so, I always feel like I missed people. I feel

I am so glad you made that tweet. I was such a MESS that day, and talking to you helped a lot. And it's exactly what I said would happen, right? Several days out from the con, the memories sort and recondense so that all the good stuff is what you remember. But in that moment where the processing has just begun, it's just... a really complicated set of feelings.
Also I'm just glad that I got to spend some one-on-one time with you. You are wonderful, and I hope you have reason to come to NYC someday so that you can see me (and amproof, it will be the best, we'll chill at her apartment all day while her cat gives us deathglares from the corner). <3 <3 <3
I think that I have adopted grapes as a comfort food now. <3 Thanks for talking stuff out with me, I'm so glad we connected on twitter at exactly the right moment!
Oh man, one day I hope you and I and amproof get to hang out and piss off her cat. I'm so SO down for that!
It was so great to meet you at MJ! Turns out you are all kinds of awesome in person as well as on the internet. It was such an overwhelming weekend, but so many great memories.
You and miz's panels were both so great. Fandom Osmosis made me laugh so much (and I will still laugh every time I think of mizubyte insisting on demon!Stiles as a thing). And I am so so glad that I went to the RPF panel. I think it was pretty great, and I was trying to explain that to other people how it could have turned into an MCR sobfest, but really wound up giving some very interesting perspective on the many ways it is challenging to be in a Real Person fandom.
It was SO GREAT to meet you too! You are so very awesome in person and I'm glad we got to hang out so much.
Thanks for coming to both panels! Especially the scary canon panel which I think everyone thought was going to be sadder than it was. I like that we talked about what it's like in RPS fandom for everyone, and didn't just talk about the Big Thing That Happened.
Nick Grimshaw. And his face. I was reading your Nick/Harry fic on the plane, and in little bite-sized pieces at MJ (I wanted it to laaaast) so it was ALMOST like you were there! And I remember mentioning it to rivers_bend like "oh hey, have you read the one by mog?" and she was like OH YOU MEAN THE ONE WHERE I SAW THE LINK ON TWITTER AND CLEARED MY SCHEDULE AND DID A HAPPY DANCE AND WAS BOUNCING AROUND THE ENTIRE DAY UNTIL I HAD IT IN MY HANDS READY TO READ? YOU MEAN THAT ONE?"
lololol THE POWER OF NICK GRIMSHAW COMPELS YOU. It would have been lovely to have been there, but this is such a great con report, and it sounds like you had an amazing time. <333333
