I am overcome with many of the feelings on the soon-coming end of my show, (Smallville). So to help myself (and maybe some of you) through this, I propose a.........

Note: for some reason euphoria made me think of glucose or sugar and that made me think of sweetness and… yeah. Written in literally fifteen minutes - I hope you like! Thank you for the prompt!Tess feels awkward. She’d say like a fish out of water but that’s a cliché - and not exactly the meaning she’s going for

I really enjoyed this. I have been wanting to read fanfic about them since Fortune aired so I'm glad you gave me that chance.
I really loved that you wrote from Tess' point of view because I could actually see her being nervous & out of sorts that way. I've always gotten the impression that her relationships for the most part were based on sex & power. While she did seem to have more with Oliver,he did end up cheating on her & I think that betrayal contributed to the type of relationships she has with men now. I actually wish we could see her in a healthy relationship on the show, but since that won't be happening, I'll pretend this is canon.

Oh thank god you commented and put a stop to my endless editing! I'm so sorry for your inbox right now :/
Yay, I'm glad you like it. I think I always remember Tess' relationship philosophy as announced to Zod, and that's some of the most dysfunctional stuff I've ever heard. I could've gone darker with this and with her but I wanted it to be light and fluffy for this moment because I think with Emil, even if I don't think they're destined to be forever, it would be much lighter, more peaceful, and less about power struggles 24/7.
Thank you, and it's my canon post-Fortune. Who knows post-Kent what's going on in the poor woman's mind, sigh.

Thank you.
Yay, this pairing intrigues me, wish we could've gotten more of them but sometimes it works well because there's so much space to imagine. I'm glad it felt in-character and such :)
