Lovely lovely stuff. Clever little mystery and very much in the correct style. Saxon sounded very true to life when he was caught - always everyone else's fault that he'd gone astray.

Any more of this stuff forthcoming?

Thank you very much! Yes, I was rather proud of my unrepentant villain. ;)

I suppose I could post the other stories that I wrote for the class- there are a couple completed, set in Holmes's original era, as well as one that I'd like to finish.

This is really so very cool. I mean, I haven't read a lot of Holmes, but it seems like the whole tone - both his and Watson's - is really spot-on, which is one of my favorite things ever in fanfic. :D :D

Thank you very much! I tried hard to stay true to the tone of the original even in the different setting, so I'm happy to have achieved that. And I'm glad you enjoyed it! =)
