not so fast, toothy one
Well, the new teeth aren't working out so well. I haven't worn my dentures for several days now because there's a really sore spot on my gum that's just too much to take. I can chew again!
Yay! I got my new dentures last Thursday and today I ate my first solid apple in years. It was sweet and so delicious. I got a bag of pumpkin seeds at the food bank a couple of weeks ago and they are delicious. I have a couple cans of whole kernel corn I'm looking forward to eating, too. That'll have to wait though. hailing again
It's raining again today and it started with 2-3 minutes of hail. I'm glad I didn't go out like I'd planned. End of the month; it's time for getting cash, rent M.O., and groceries, but I have until Monday the 5th for rent. I'm waiting because it's supposed to clear up Sunday and Monday. Wow! Major weather!
Yeah. Yeah. I know I haven't made an entry in a long time, but maybe it's time to start up again. Right at this moment it's raining like crazy here, with lightning flashing behind the grey skies and thunder cracking much too soon after. And the rain has turned to hail! Bye-bye, Arlene
Uncle Tony called a couple hours ago to tell me that Arlene died in her sleep some time early Sunday morning. I'll miss talking to her since she was the only member of my "family" I heard from even on a semi-regular basis. Martin Landau died on July 15 in L.A. at the age of 89. He was born in Brooklyn NY June 20, 1928. I know him best from the TV series Mission: Impossible (1966-1969) as Rollin Hand and Space: 1999 (1975-1977) as Commander John Koenig. Experimenting with smoothies
B and her man gave me a blender the other day and I'm using it to explore the world of smoothies. I've made a coupld with what I had on hand; apple juice, bananas that were soft and bruised and wouldn't last another day, an orange. strawberries. I broke down and reserved another room at Motel 6 for two nights. I had to do something. My last night in a bed was four or five days ago and I'm going insane. I been going back and forth between Kinkos, IHoP, and Barnes and Noble, with just little cat naps, only sleeping heavy for a few seconds at a time.
