Despite being one of the evenings in a supposedly warm spring, the weather was exceptionally cold with occasional breeze creeping up every warm body it happened to meet on the streets. Sungmin and Kyuhyun rubbed their hands together as a method to alleviate the cold. The shorter man even stomped on his feet to make the coldness go away as what his mother always told him whenever the weather got chilly; this habit never really left him even so many years had passed already. After doing everything possible to make them feel a little bit warmer, the two of them started to walk with Sungmin showing the direction to his apartment.

“Good things happened today. I’ve never been a fan of coincidences but I think I’m starting to be one. I’d never thought I’d meet the same person I came across a week ago and have been longing to meet since then.” Kyuhyun confessed with a little more than needed details while putting on his serious expression.

“I’m so sorry I didn’t mean to sound creepy, but to be honest, the thoughts of you have been occupying my mind for a quite while. It’s just that I haven’t had nice long stress-relieving chat for a long time. And I should probably thank you for providing it.” His explanation was quickly followed by his bright sincere smile just right.

"You are creepy. You talk like I’m answering your call to a psychiatric call center.” Sungmin answered while scrunching his nose in distaste. Kyuhyun’s expression quickly diverted to worry before the other decided that he couldn’t hold his laughter any longer. Kyuhyun’s panicking. How cute, Sungmin thought.

“Don’t worry baby. You also entertained me today. I don’t remember I have ever talked this much to a stranger I have only known for mere some hours. If that’s any consolation, I’m also glad we met. I never expected that a random boredom could lead me to meet such a fun and attractive man.” Sungmin admitted, letting out not so manly giggles.

“Oh, you think I am fun and attractive? People always say that I am, though. But now that it comes out from your mouth I am even more convinced.” Despite of his previous worries of giving her bad first impression, he grinned cheekily to the compliment. Sungmin let out a playful snort and smacked his head.

“Are you having brain damage or what? From all the things I said you only end up getting that point?”

“Oh trust me I have none of those you mentioned, baby. I’m just too intoxicated by your presence.” Sungmin blushed hard that all of his face got tinted red. Sometimes he wondered if he’s actually a tomato trapped in a human form for his blush always seemed to betray him. Kyuhyun smirked victoriously at Sungmin’s adorable reaction. The cute man was about to smack Kyuhyun on his other body parts when they heard cheery high voices get nearer.

Kyuhyun pulled Sungmin closer to the inner side of the pavement as some kids on their bikes rushed up to their respective houses, trying to tell people to step aside. The still perplexed man mumbled a quiet ‘thanks’ and walked once again after letting the younger linger his fingers on his waist a little longer. Kyuhyun continued talking.

“It must be a sign to come to a short halt and relax for a while to meet you. God is really kind sometimes.” Expecting other cheap pick up lines he would tell, Sungmin refused to respond and the conversation came to a pause for a few seconds. Both of them fought mentally while sending each other  not so congruent signals through death glare (in Sungmin’s case) and anticipating dorky smile (in Kyuhyun’s case). Sungmin finally gave in to the sickening silence (and Kyuhyun’s adorable smile, though there’s no way he would admit it) and decided to initiate a question.

“And may I know why that is?”

“Because I asked to him for a break, and he gave me a person to talk to. To make it even better, he sent me you with your pretty face as a big bonus.” Kyuhyun answered immediately, as if knowing the exact set of answers for a particular exam whose questions have been given a day before it is held. He shamelessly grinned at his own answer and ran his eyes to the other’s blushing cheeks, whether it’s from the cold weather or his answer, only God knows, though he’s sure it’s more because of the latter.

Sungmin looked away to hide his embarrassment, making up his mind to not respond and show even more embarrassing side of himself and kept walking through the seemingly never ending pavement. Kyuhyun eventually caught up the fast pace the built man was executing and followed his steps to the apartment.

The winter that had just passed left a pile of snow glistening under the pavement lights, resulting in a very gorgeous object to stare at. The pair decided to look at it while walking to get rid of the awkwardness (as Sungmin claimed to feel) and to get back the comfortable silence they had earlier shared. They didn’t look at each other but they shared a content smile, both were immersed in their own thoughts of each other.

Sungmin thought of asking Kyuhyun to stay for coffee later.

Kyuhyun thought he just found a perfect friend to spend the rest of the night talking to.

P.S.: Hey everyone! /bows I'm new in writing (well in writing fanfic it is) and this drabble is my first attempt. I'm actually planning to write a chaptered fic but yeah, I get stuck.
