i got sick... again. i'm pretty sure that among 1st world countries, japan is one of the worst places to get sick. aside from the fact that even catching a cold means that people will treat you like a leper and insist you wear a mask all the time, there's the bureaucracy to deal with

yeah, you're lucky!! ...or rather, i think my immune system just sucks :( does peppy have a similar sick leave policy, or did you never need to find out?

I was never sick enough myself to have to deal with calling in sick, but they just gave us certain hours to call in if we had a problem or were so sick we couldn't come into work.

The thing with Peppy was that there was almost always a teacher who was off that day who lived in the area who could cover our lessons for the day. Unlike you guys, you plan all your lessons yourself...Peppy teachers know that if today's class is 'orange' or 'violet' there's a specific lesson plan waiting for them, and it's usually simple enough that you can make up a good lesson 30 to 60 minutes before class starts.
