An update of sorts

Well that was a great start to the season! I'm so happy to see Kimi winning and pulling away so much from the rest of the pack. It was a shame about Massa having that problem in qualifying but hopefully we'll see him do well in Malaysia (3 weeks away, boo!). I do like Lewis Hamilton but I do feel that the commentators (well James Allen) are going over the top with him. Yes he's good, yes he's fast and yes he's had an amazing start but for god's sake stop building him up and let him develop at his own pace!

It's still so strange to see Kimi in a Ferrari and Alonso in a McLaren but I suppose we'll all get used to it!

Did anyone else see Martin Brundle's faux pas with the Australian Prime Minister? I was killing myself laughing!

I don't know what is going on with Celtic, we lost to Falkirk today :( It was a horrible performance from the team, I think we're burnt out but we still need to win the league! 13 points is still a big gap but it's come down by 6 points in the last 2 games. Well we're not playing next weekend because it's the Scotland game against Georgia but a good few of our players will be in action so it's not necessarily a weekend off.

What a shame about the rugby, it's so sore for Ireland losing the 6 Nations on points scored. If only they'd kept their concentration against France they would have had the grand slam. Scotland finished bottom - not entirely surprising!

Work is busy as always. One of my colleagues is off sick so I've got a few conveyancing files, hopefully just for this week. The thing about conveyancing is that it's so time consuming and demanding that everything else gets put to one side which isn't ideal. Ah well, it's only for a week. I've only got 6 months left of my traineeship which is quite scary.

I'm going to Hamburg in April for a weekend - I'm really looking forward to it! I'm flying down to London with ryanair on the Thursday night, staying in a travelodge over night and then flying out to Hamburg in the early Friday morning (6am!). Then flying back on the Monday afternoon. I hope the weather is nice and we can sit outside and drink good German beer. I want to go back to the Irish pub we stayed near in the summer, it was great! I think Gordon has been back once since and they recognised him!

I don't think we're going to get a summer holiday this year. Gordon is now in the last year of his PhD and needs to be available in Glasgow and I suppose in Hamburg if he needs to be. In lieu of that I've pre-registered for tickets for the Tutankhamun (god knows that's the wrong spelling) Exhibition which is coming to what was formerly called the Millenium Dome in London in November. Hopefully by then I'll be earning a bit more money and we can afford a nice hotel in London for a couple of nights.

I'm hoping to be taken on permanently by my employers once I qualify but nothing is confirmed yet. My boss said he'll talk to me about it in the summer and the Senior Partner with whom I've had quite a lot of contact has told me how impressed he is by me so I'm hopeful that a job offer will follow. I'm still going to be looking around just in case.

I think that's probably enough for now!
