Hey - we beggars can't be choosers. I'm delighted that, despite the difficulty you experienced in picking up the threads of your story, you persevered and have a new installment for us. I've just printed it off and am looking forward to getting back into this story myself. Thanks for making it possible.
Thanks for that, Deborah - it makes me feel better. :-) I'm still a bit amazed at just how quickly time ran off on me, though. And I'll try not to let it happen again.
I'm just glad you're back! Real Life trumps fan fiction every day, so no worries. Glad to hear things have calmed down at work at lest a little, and that you've got your fic-groove back. Looking forward to the new chapter though clearly I'm going to have to re-read the whole fic, or at least the last couple chapters...
Thanks, zanthine! I was actually surprised at how long it took me to get back into the story, and how much work it was. Guess it's true when they say "use it or lose it".
And yes, I had to do quite a bit of re-reading myself. So if I get repetitive, you'll know it's because I forgot that I already wrote that part. :-)
Real life hit me unexpected too. That's something you can't influence. But not having fic to post isn't a reason to stay away = means: You're welcome without fic too. Even if it is only to vent or to sigh. Glad to hear from you again. *hugs*
I didn't mean to be quite so AWOL, I just got so overloaded that the only time I was on the Internet was for work. And then, when it did occur to me that I'd been probably too quiet for too long, the only things I could think of saying were "I'm tired, life sucks, wahh!" Which didn't seem to be the most interesting conversation.
And then I was just horrified at how long it had been. Oops.
