Update on Mint JSK Project

Nov 04, 2010 09:52

A while ago I had posted that I was going to be making a mint jsk inspired off a dress done by the marvelous punkneko66 in this earlier entry.  I've had a chance to sketch out some newer designs now that I have acquired an ipad which makes doing digital work a lot easier. So the design got completely changed for the dress except for the bustle idea.

As you can see the drawing has all the details written out and I will be sticking to this plan. If I have enough fabric in fact I may change the simple trim at the bottom to a ruffle if it matches up with the back portion well. Not featured in the picture is the headbow I will be making for this outfit along with kanzashi style flowers to give it a deco feel. I hope to stop by either joanns, hobby lobby, or walmart to pick up some mint lace for the dress and venice lace for some wrist cuffs.

The projects proceeding this which I will sketch out tonight to post will be 2 cutsew jackets and a bolero. I will be doing a sax and a white cutsew jacket along with a white bolero.
