Nope, Rebekah being Klaus' sister was a huge surprise. It wasn't in the original sides, and it wasn't even hinted at in any news/interview/article, etc. And there has been quite a bit written up about her, but it all revolved around her past with Stefan. Great, great job by the show keeping a lid on that one.
Damon had all the best lines this episode. My favourite? “I’m shocked! Stefan’s not a virgin?”
Yeah, that one was my favorite too. :)
