Strange events in Cardiff, Wales...who knew? ;-)

I saw this article linked over from the torch_wood LJ community, and it just totally made my day. I've been giggling over it off and on for hours now.

Cops Chase UFO over CardiffWhere's Torchwood when you need them? Though maybe they're responsible for why no good images or film came out of this as proof of the encounter. One can only dream...LOL ( Read more... )

Isn't it, though? Too bad it was a boring old saucer...I was hoping for a blue box-like craft! ;-)

Oh absolutely!! :-)

Speaking of your icon... this list of pathetic conventions (many of which I would happily attend, I may note) has been circulating on one of my sci-fi lists: http://www.cracked.com/article_16373_patheticon-8-geek-conventions-god-never-intended.html
One of the conventions had... well, I'll just quote the article:
...the panel "LOLCATS: I CAN HAZ CASE STUDY?" which brought together no less than six human beings who have dedicated at least a portion of their lives to writing, organizing or studying captions on photos of cats. Real, actual people.

Grammar Nazi note: should be "no fewer than six"
But, anyway, I predict that I would totally die laughing at that panel for one reason or another.

Haha, I'd like to attend about half those conventions listed as well!

That site has endless amounts of hilarious lists.

I came across this and am how happily listening to all my favorite 80's songs to walk to and/or see made into fanvids.

In particular, I believe I've seen at least 2 versions of 'Holding Out for a Hero' done for every single fandom I've ever been involved in, Torchwood included. I love that song!
