So out of a sense of bored curiosity. I started watching Dollhouse a couple of weeks ago. (This was mostly because I kept seeing ads for it everywhere and finally was like, "Why not? Let's see what everyone is fussing about

The opening credits reminds me of something from anime. And actually, I can see the basic plot as fitting quite well in an anime series.

I agree, the acting is not the best I've seen. But I do like Sierra and Victor and their characters are the ones I'm most interested in, though the plot around Echo is intriguing. Topher is somewhat amusing, I like his lines, and I do think that the actor does a good job with it, but the character so far is not unique (and thus dulls his presence a bit). I'm hoping Joss will do something to change him up a bit. There are also certain bits that I don't think Eliza Dushku quite pulls off -- like the innocence of Echo in her wiped state (but perhaps this is because I've seen her as Faith for far too long) and as the cultist.

I'm interested about this week's episode, as it looks like (and I've heard) it's about to come a lot darker and (hopefully) more complicated. And y'know, there's hints of some development of Victor.
