We put my cat down today

Today, my husband and I made the decision to put our cat to sleep. We're more shaken up than words can say, because only in the last few days has he even seemed slightly off, but it was the right decision to make. I'm going to be taking a break from the Internet for awhile, esp. Metalocalypse, because death is a little too real for me right now.

Yeah, orange tabby with a white chest. He was a great little guy, only 4 years old. His sister (literally-from the same litter) is still with us, although she's a little confused.

And, maybe when you are up to it, you might want to see about adding to your family. Get a little kitten for her to mama.

aw i am so sorry. he looks like such a pretty kitty. at least it was a peaceful death, i still miss my kitty that was killed a few months ago so i can sympathize :(

Oh, man, that is such a difficult decision to make as a cat mom. Poor thing. *hugs* And it sounds like you weren't given much warning... Problems can happen so suddenly, though. Sometimes our animals are too good at hiding their ailments from us. I had one go a while back from kidney failure without ever showing so much a symptom. Just overnight, at only five years old.

Life really isn't fair, sometimes.
