Wheeeeeeee!!!

Dec 12, 2005 14:43

I just bought a plane ticket to Paris.

Holy crap, wingedkat and I are going to Europe.
For a whole week, over my birthday, in a few months.

I am in shock.

...

Attention god_of_the_dead! We are considering going over to Dublin while we're there. Advice, suggestions?

Dearest:

You're what?! So much for the cruise to the Greek islands I was planning on surprising you with for your birthday.

Kick ass! We only spent three days in Paris which was NOT enough. You are going to have soooo much fun! To get you warmed up, here's some pics from our trip: http://www.ann-rocco.com/photos/paris/paris.html

Thanks! I've actually been there before, but just for a couple days. So there's a lot of stuff that I missed! Luckily I have a friend who lives there and so hopefully he'll be able to show us around to all the good stuff during the short time we're there. And I'll have to brush up on my French before I go... :)

By the way, your user pic looks exactly like old photos of ironmelf's brother, it's pretty weird. Is it you?

Yup, that's a photo of me. I'm probably six.
We also can't wait to get back to Paris! Someday...

Ah Dublin... god_of_the_dead January 2 2006, 04:28:26 UTC
Ok, here are a few places that you NEED to visit...

-The Guinness factory (the top room is the Gravity Bar, and the highest point in Dublin. Gorgeous view).
-The Bleeding Horse Pub (a pub where writers like James Joyce came to drink)
-Have a look around Trinity College. It's gorgeous.

THe best thing to do is just to go into pub after pub and talk to the locals and travelers alike. A lot of good people there. :) And eat at a Kebab house... killer food that is served until about 3 in the morning.

Sorry I hadn't gotten back to you early. My computer crashed. I have a new one now, but I lost my entire portfolio of photography work. Ah well, so it goes.
Hope everything is well with you. Happy New Years!
