There are a couple morals to this harrowing tale..

Don't drive with Cody.
Don't trust him with estimates in times and distances.
and most importantly..

Stay away from shiftless menonite churches. You couldn't find it because its probably a casino or bar, for them to shoot dice and smoke cigarettes in!
