Story (it's a quickie, I swear): So, about a month or so ago, my mom sends me this article on being a conscientious objector--A "CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTING FOR DUMMIES," IF YOU WILL. NOW LET US TRAVEL THROUGH TIME, forward to the early afternoon POST ELECTION. IT WAS THEN that my mom gave me a call. No "Hi," no "hello," no "HOW ARE YOU, DAUGHTER," but a frantic "MARGIE YOU HAD BETTER BE READING THAT CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTOR THINGY I SENT YOU. SERIOUSLY. I'M NOT KIDDING." As if the draft was beginning not later, BUT NOW.
