COLLEGE >_>

Soooooooooooooo, I got the snail mail Cornell wait-list notification in the mail today, and I've officially decided to reject them, lol, since I won't hear until like May, which is too long to wait. Now the question remains, what do I put in this blank:

No, I'm not interested in remaining on the waiting list; I plan to enroll at: ...Drexel? I ( Read more... )

wow. a decision. this makes me feel very weak-kneed.
i just might be joining you. who knows?
assuming i'm in cmu, or something, basically, i have no clue...
i'm deciding between drexel, pitt, psu, and cmu. drexel and pitt being the cheapest by far, lol.
so what would happen if you, me, and benshetler were constantly living right by each other? spirituality on a whole new level.
i can't type with capital letters right now. they make me nervous because they seem decisive.

That'd be the most crazy-amazing thing to happen to this Earth since...perhaps presliced bread.

We should be roomies XD In friggin sweet honors suites.

Yeah, decisiveness is never my strong suit...but in this case, my intense suspense, apprehension, wanting to just pick somewhere and be done with it, and laziness over petitioning for matching aid and visiting and more investigation and all that won out :P

I think I forgot to discuss at some point that I actually decided against PSU because Col is there, and we pretty much agreed that we'd be way too distracted going to the same college, so it's better that we've got some distance so we can focus. I'm sooooo relieved that he agreed with me so easily :) I'd actually been thinking it for a while, but he brought it up, surprisingly. Though he still likes to brag about their supercool new IST building ::chuckle::

In retrospect, I sort of wish I had applied to Pitt. Though I think Drexel is going to go down pretty well.

Ah, I was wondering about the PSU/Col thing.
Being apart at college can work out really well, especially if you're planning on keeping up the relationship. Just today I read my friend Stephanie's lj and she was talking about how she surprised her bf by just stopping by his dorm one day, calling him on his cell, and telling him that she was there. (Of course we all know those types of stories that go horribly wrong, but this guy wasn't surprised out of mistrust, lol.) Anyway, he was thrilled that she just showed up. A nice surprise, and it was just a happy occasion in general. I'm not sure why I mention this, as you've obviously thought everything out already, but I'm mentioning it anyway :-)

Being roomies would be amazing. AND if we weren't roomies, it would be imperative that we lived close to each other on the same hall.

Pitt's nice, and I thought the options of their Honors college were awesome. I know I like Philly, now I need to see if I like Pitt :-p

Teehee, good story :) We've already checked out our bus and train options for meeting up at home or either college or in Harrisburg, which is relatively half way as far as public transit goes. And he's coming home this weekend and next weekend to visit ::giggle:: But that's just a girly sidenote :P

I've been looking at the housing website a lot, and both VanR and East seem nice...I like that East is sort of central and relatively brand new, but I like how VanR looks inside w/ the awesome big hall that we were in the one day for dinner, and Ross Commons next door looks really awesome, too.

I really liked the city of Pitt when we were there briefly for a family trip...it's really cool being on the rivers, and there's so much culture.
