I'm not sure if you've heard of it, but have you ever seen flylady.com? I joined up a couple of years ago, and I don't do all of the stuff she suggests, but I do a lot of it, and it's really changed my attitude towards cleaning. My boyfriend's mother and sisters have actually expressed awe at the clean-ness of my house... on days when I didn't know they were coming over until they were at the door. (Naturally, they never express their awe to me, but women being the competitive creatures that we are, I guess that's understandable.)

You don't think that having someone else deal with the huge crisis of getting everything clean so you could just keep it up wouldn't help? You wouldn't even have the problem of getting all bitter about doing it all yourself? Obviously I think so, but your opinion is clearly the important one. :) I thought it was the best solution to avoid issues. *shrug* Good luck getting clean.
