I was at a party this summer and a mother and son where at the party. The mother (who served in the military) was complaining about the cost of college. How her son wasn't going to get any money because they made to much while at the same time detailing her plans to vaction in her condo in flordia ( Read more... )

Lord. I have a lot of self control when it comes to stupid people, but I think that even I wouldn't have been able to last long without making snarky comments.

The day of the party is was REALLY freaking hot (90+humidity) and my brain was not functioning, otherwise I think I would have made the comment then to her face. But shes the mother of my nieces bf, whos gradutation party it was, so I think that would have prevented me from saying anything. (ie husbands family not mine).

She just rubbed me the wrong way. Everything was about her.
