Two new icons...
I've been playing with a button maker and decided to turn a couple of the buttons into icons.
The first one is of my kitty Thea the day after OOTP came out. We got those frames at the Barnes and Noble release party. Isn't she adorable?

Avoiding the basilisk...
I've decided that I have to start putting on blinders and wearing ear plugs whenever I read my LJ (or even go outside, for that matter).
I desperately don't want to get spoiled for Deathly Hallows, and even though I haven't encountered any rude spoilers, like people who just yell out "SNAPE KILLS DUMBLEDORE," I have encountered a few people who ( Read more... ) -

Reading OOTP...
Reading Order of the Phoenix again is like watching a train wreck. Or rather, it's like being IN a train wreck, 'cause it's just as painful for the reader as it is for the victims, i.e. characters.

Memorial for a bowl.
I just broke my favorite bowl this morning. I wept as if I'd lost an old friend. I hate the fact that it affects me so badly, but it does and I have to learn to deal with it, but I don't know how. It's stupid, and childish, and weak ( Read more... ) -

A quick note...
I just noticed something that might help explain the scene on the cover of Deathly Hallows.
If you compare the very first Grand Pre cover to this last Grand Pre cover, you'll see the similarities. Maybe the artist is just bringing the art to a close with similar framing to both images? I don't know, but it's possible. If you think of it that ( Read more... ) -
Forgot to mention...
There was a cold-snap last night that resulted in a layer of frost on the inanimate objects in my backyard. I'm so worried for my little veggie babies, but I didn't have time or enough light this morning to get a really good idea of how much damage the cold might have caused, if any ( Read more... )
