Wei-Chi (aka Go) is an easy "game" to learn, but difficult (maybe even impossible) to master! It is more than a game, it is a tool for meditation and understanding yourself, others, and The Way ov thee Tao"... if you care about any of that... if not, just have fun!
Namaste, Sighris p.s. there is a LOT of info and resources on Wei-Chi/Go on the internet. A good places to start are: http://www.usgo.org http://go-sensei.com (absolute beginner lessons here)
Uh, thanks but I've been playing Go for about fifteen years now.
May I ask what lead you here? I saw that you added a link to your profile page to something in my Photobucket account (I sent you a message about that, by the way) and that we both know das_prompt (but who doesn't, these days).
I don't play online - I like the feel of the stones in my hand. :)
If you saw a comment thread with me and das_prompt, there's a good chance you saw something about him kicking my butt, because he has the times we've played together.
I'll leave 'em up. No harm done, I was just curious how you found me.
I love to add you as a friend. We have a friend in common and I saw one of your comments in her LJ and thought you must be an interesting person to follow.
I'm sorry I've been kind of running in a million directions lately.
I wanted to ask you a few things before I added you: You are aware that I'm not Jewish, correct? (I ask simply because hannahsarah's friends frequently assume that folks are and then are shocked to discover I'm not. :) )
I don't post a lot, I mostly comment these days. I've had my account for over 12 years and I think I've fallen into a silence rut with regard to posting. Is that okay with you?
It's no problem. I'm not Jewish either. I don't remember how I got to be hannahsarah's friend but I think it may have been through one of her posts supporting Israel, a view she and I both share.
I've only been her a few years. I take spells where I post three or four times a week and other times where I'll go for one or two weeks without posting. I understand how daily lives can get in the way of maintaining a posting presence on LJ.
