First of all, be thankful you and Amanda are both okay. Second, you're not a "bad" driver. You hit a patch of ice. Perhaps you need to concentrate on being a more "cautious" driver. You know you were going too fast for conditions, and next time, you'll do a better job.
Is Amanda angry at you? You said she didn't want to talk about it. Maybe she's still a little rattled and just wants to forget it, or maybe she isn't fussed at all and doesn't know why you're obsessing over it.
I know this probably sounds trite but accidents do happen. I know it's difficult to know people view you as a bad driver. When I was younger, a lot of my friends viewed me as a bad driver -- even though I had no accidents or tickets, I simply drove too fast for their liking. Last year, I was in two accidents in a matter of a month, and the first was my fault. It really sucked and it cost me $700 that I didn't have as a student but I forced myself to believe that accidents do happen. I learned to forgive myself and to believe that I can learn from this mistake. Forgiving yourself is the best thing you can do right now, as trite as that sounds. Hang in there -- it does get better.

You're not a horrible person and you're not a horrible driver. Anybody can slip on ice. Just please be careful, okay?
LOVE YOU!!!!
