So, I've read the book this is based off of. Now, this is a "OHSHI- MONSTERS" movie in the vein of "Cloverfield". Now, while "Cloverfield" came through on the ending, proving to you that, no, those young hip adults in fact died, and there was no way they survived, but at least they didn't explode!

Is it even possible for a inanimate reel of film to flip someone off?

LOL, I liked the movie, though I had not read the novella. The ending was shitty, however.

I know I'm replying insanely late to your post (found you from sf_d;)) but yeah. My mom was so excited for this movie because she loved the novella and was horribly disappointed in it. I'd read how it ended and when I told her she wanted to turn it off.

I don't think I could ever be truly satisfied with any of his books made into movies. There's always going to be some crucial part missing.

I hate when people act like his writing is beneath them. I had a friend who was constantly going on about how horrible authors like him were. Of course, she was a terrible writer;) I hope that does turn out good. I once got to do this class where I got to compare movies to the books they were based on. I did all his movies;)

And I will. I'm always too shy to ask people lol.
