I make it a point never to go out at night alone anymore, be it uptown or metairie, due to the numerous times i've fell into dangerous situations doing so in the past few years. I know that won't keep me completely safe, but at least i'm not left defenseless if someone is with me

broad daylight uptown i had this guy try to give me the shakedown, man. i avoid walking anywhere alone if i can help it.

It seems one of the biggest mistake women make is getting into your car at night and sitting there/looking for something/playing with radio/whatever instead of just driving off. I read something recently that says that's when and where most women get attacked.

I'm glad you're okay. Next time don't be an ass and not bug someone who looks busy talking to other people :)
