quit or terminate

I wonder which is better for me - to quit or to let them fire me. I'm heading in that direction and I don't know what the hell else I'm supposed to do.

If you quit, you don't get unemployment

I would say start looking for something else while hanging on there as long as you can. As mentioned above, there is the unemployment issue. Also, being able to say "I'm looking for a new challenge" in an interview is a better sell than "I just want a job".
