You have a pool? I'm so coming over, right now.

My dog (well, ex-dog...John still has him) would rip out the squeaker of any toy also. I couldn't ever buy him anything 'cute'. It would have to be those big rag bones or something, which he would eventually tear to pieces and I'd be picking up string for a month.

Still trying to read An Ever-Fixed Mark. And Alex is still up. He 'went to bed' an hour ago but begged (cried) to come and lay on the couch. Is he ever going to go to sleep?

LOL, does he? It's good to know I'm not the only one with a destroyer for a dog. Pixie isn't like Monster in this aspect, thank goodness.

What's Alex doing up at 12:45?! How long of a nap did he have???

Oh, and FYI the pool we have is those inflatable kind that barely reaches my knees lol. But it's 15 feet in diameter, which makes it seem less like a paddling pool. ;)

He only slept from 3 - 5:30. He's needed a lot of extra cuddling tonight because Conn took the car to work and not the truck, which is apparently, a major issue with Alex. He's been upset about it all evening. Funny what freaks out little kids.

He just fell asleep on the couch and I put him in bed. Thank goodness. I'm a bit ready to go myself, if I can just finish. reading. this. story. I'm also enjoying that "Dead Before Dark". The 'hero' vampire's name is Bill. I think that's too funny. Bill The Vampire.

Need to check out the Doomspark fics as well. I hope I can stay awake and I haven't even Ambien'd myself yet.

::yawn::

Poor baby... I guess he associates the car with you and no one else. But didn't Conn have to drive your car to work everyday when his was leaking a few months back? Was Alex okay with it then?

I'm glad you are enjoying Dead Before Dark. I was contemplating buying the series on Amazon the other day. Let me know if it's worth it!

Sounds like you won't need Ambien to fall asleep tonight. ;) And don't worry, Doomspark's "Darkness" is less than a thousand words long so it shouldn't take you more than 10 minutes to read it. I liked his opening description of the night sky a lot.

My kitty isn't a noise-seeking cat. We've gotten her a few squeaky toys, but she isn't amused by them. She prefers a toy with some good ol' catnip (which we call kitty pot) in it... ;)

I've always been curious as to what exactly is in catnip lol. Do you know?

Don't know much about it except that it's a plant containing something that soothes kitty cats. Which is why we call it "kitty pot"! ;)

Psycho Corgi.... LMAO I love it!

So this obsession with balls is a corgi thing? (um, that didn't sound right did it? *snigger*) I do agree they are smart creatures. Too smart for their own good sometimes, in fact. :) Your dog sounds like a sweetheart! What was her name?

Monster is a corgi mix we got from the shelter. We think she looks more like a Pembroke, but we could be wrong. I don't have a good picture of her profile, but here are a couple:

Oops, forgot to add that she had a red coat when we first got her. It's turned brown now that she's older.
